Do you like your bacon crispy? Then let me show you how to cook bacon in the oven.
Preheat your oven to 400 degrees and take out a rimmed baking pan. The bigger the better because, hey, more bacon. Line the pan with foil, folding it over the sides so it makes a nice and tidy little pan. This keeps the foil from shifting around in the grease later. The pan must be RIMMED because of the amount of grease that is created. Trust me. If you already know the perils of cleaning out a greasy oven then you already get me.
Slap a row of bacon down side by side. Then give it 15-20 minutes in the oven, checking regularly! I have found that it can vary wildly depending on the thickness and brand of bacon you use so just keep a good eye on it.
I’m a crispy/burnt edges kinda gal so I totally go for the full 20 minutes here. If you’re not into that then just take the bacon out sooner! Lay them out a paper towel lined plate to absorb any extra grease and enjoy!
